Unmissable Parent Evening: Parenting in an Online World 101
The Rotorua Principal Association is hosting Rob Cope’s hard hitting presentation at Rotorua Intermediate on
Wednesday 23rd September.  Rob will deliver a fast-paced, humorous, and eye-opening presentation packed with practical strategies—including smartphone safety
locks, simple family rules, and ways to foster healthy digital habits.

We strongly encourage all parents and caregivers to attend this important session. The digital world is changing rapidly and can be a frightening and unsafe place for children. By working together, we can help our tamariki recognise online dangers, make safe choices and know where to seek help. Your involvement could make a real difference in keeping your child safe online.

Tickets are $10 for individuals or $15 for couples and can be booked via Eventfinda.

Buried Village Trip Cancelled

Tue Jun 23 11:01am

Kia ora whānau,

Due to staff illness and the weather forecast for tomorrow, we have reluctantly made the decision to cancel our whole-school trip to The Buried Village.

While we know the children were looking forward to the experience, the safety and wellbeing of our students and staff must come first. With the likelihood of poor weather conditions and reduced staffing, we do not feel we can provide the quality experience we had planned.

We will look at organising an alternative whole-school trip next term when the weather is hopefully a little more settled and we can fully enjoy the learning opportunities such an excursion provides.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

Ngā mihi,

Rachael McLanachan
Principal
