Buried Village Trip Cancelled

Tue Jun 23 11:01am

Kia ora whānau,

Due to staff illness and the weather forecast for tomorrow, we have reluctantly made the decision to cancel our whole-school trip to The Buried Village.

While we know the children were looking forward to the experience, the safety and wellbeing of our students and staff must come first. With the likelihood of poor weather conditions and reduced staffing, we do not feel we can provide the quality experience we had planned.

We will look at organising an alternative whole-school trip next term when the weather is hopefully a little more settled and we can fully enjoy the learning opportunities such an excursion provides.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

Ngā mihi,

Rachael McLanachan
Principal

Invitation the our St Carlo Acutis Relic Liturgy

Mon Jun 15 05:41pm

✝️ A Special Opportunity for Our School Community ✝️

Tomorrow at 1:00pm, our school will gather for a special liturgy to welcome the relic of Blessed Carlo Acutis to St Michael’s.

This is a rare and significant occasion for our Catholic school and parish. Carlo was a young person who lived his faith with joy, kindness, and courage, showing us that holiness is possible for everyone, no matter their age.

We feel incredibly blessed to have this opportunity to pray together in the presence of his relic and to learn more about his inspiring example of faith.

Parents and whānau are warmly welcome to join us for this special celebration.

📅 Tomorrow
⏰ 1:00pm
📍 St Michael’s Catholic School Hall

We look forward to sharing this special moment with our community.

⛪ A Special Invitation

Fri Jun 12 07:59pm

Join us this Sunday at 8:00am at St Michael’s Catholic Church as we welcome the relic of Blessed Carlo Acutis.

All St Michael’s students and families are warmly invited. Following Mass, there will be a cup of tea in the Crypt.  Families are invited to bring a plate to share.

We hope to see you there!
