Our School

St Michael's is a small, vibrant, community-minded, Catholic school in the beautiful city of Rotorua. The school caters for Years 1 to 6 students in expansive, well-maintained grounds - a green oasis in a busy urban area.

As a Catholic school, we pride ourselves on following the example of Jesus Christ. This is seen most clearly through the way our students treat one another and the respect they show for others. Our students are known throughout Rotorua for their excellent behaviour.

Our school motto is "Striving for Excellence" - a motto we apply to all we do.

Recently we surveyed our community to ask them about our strengths. The following were the common themes that came through:
