Our Vision

St Michael's Catholic School will continue its commitment to prepare all students for life by developing a faith journey, skills, attitudes, values and knowledge that enable them to solve problems using critical and creative thinking strategies.

Our Religious Education and integrated curriculum will provide the fertile ground for an inquiry approach to teaching and learning programmes. This will create authentic learning and encourage all students to work both collaboratively and independently as well as developing into competant effective communicators. 

Our school will commit to an on-going programme of self-reflection and review that pursues "striving for excellence" in all that we do. Central to this improvement will be the professional learning of our staff as they challenge themselves to be positive educators committed to the success of our students.

At St Michael's Catholic School we recognise the importance of the community's role in the development of the child. Stronger partnerships between the school and whanau will provide greater opportunity for all of our students to succeed.
