PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

With just a few weeks left before the summer holidays, we have plenty of exciting events to look forward to!
|
Tomorrow is a Teacher Only Day, where our staff will be diving into the new maths curriculum and preparing for 2025.
|
Next Friday, our Year 6 students will attend their orientation at John Paul College—an exciting step as they prepare for the next chapter.
|
On Tuesday, 26 November, our kapa haka roopu will perform at the Rotorua Schools Ahurei. Make sure to order tickets by Monday if you haven’t yet!
|
Our School Athletics Day is Friday, 29 November. Parents, we’d love to see you come along and cheer on your tamariki!
|
Our next Sunday School Mass is on 1 December, marking the beginning of Advent. It was wonderful to see so many of our students at the last Mass, and we’d love to see even more join us at St. Michael's Church as we celebrate the season.
|
|
Our Year 6s will have an adventure on Friday, 6 December, with a special ziplining experience. And to finish the year on a high note, we’ll have our Blue Lake Picnic on Monday, 16 December, Prizegiving on 17 December, and our final School Mass with a beautiful candle ceremony at St. Michael’s Church on the evening of Thursday, 12 December. This will be a special farewell for our Year 6 students.

As we approach the end of the school year, we kindly ask all families to ensure any outstanding fees are settled before Tuesday the 17th of December. Timely payments help us maintain our resources and programs for the benefit of all students. If you have any questions regarding your account balance or need assistance, please contact the school office.

funds for St Mary’s Church Roof. If you have clean, quality items which need a new home and could help raise money for St Mary’s Roof, please donate at either Church.

(4) ST MARY'S ROSES: Would you love a beautiful St Mary's Rose Bush. We are
now taking orders for purchase. The are $40 each. Please contact the Church Office or
Rosemary (ph: 021 660 854 or email: bronug@gmail.com to order. You can pay by
cash, eftpos or through the Church using your name and ROSE as a reference. All profit
is going towards the roof!

(5) CHRISTMAS MARKET DAY: A Parish-wide Christmas Market Day will be held
after the 10am Mass on Sunday December 1. Parishioners are asked to contribute items
of produce, baking, sweets, preserves, plants and hand-crafted items only, with the price
clearly marked. All proceeds will go to the roofing fund.

School Resources
We kindly request your help in locating and returning any school journals, library books, or sports uniforms that might still be at home.
Please have your child bring these items back to school and hand them to their respective teachers.
Thank you for your cooperation in ensuring our school resources are accounted for. We appreciate your support in providing an excellent educational experience for all our students.

Health & Safety
As the weather warms up, we want to remind families of a few health and safety tips to keep our students safe and healthy at school. Please ensure your child has a sunhat and sunscreen applied before arriving each day. Extra hydration is key, so sending a water bottle is encouraged.
|
|
We also ask for everyone’s help in minimizing the spread of seasonal illnesses. If your child is feeling unwell, keeping them home to rest supports our efforts to maintain a healthy environment for all students.

Many thanks to those families who have returned their sports uniforms, it has been most appreciated. There are still a few who have not returned their uniforms, parents please have a good look at home and return these as soon as possible. For any outstanding uniforms that have not been returned, families will be invoiced the cost to replace these.

Board of Trustees
Next board meeting Date: Tuesday 3rd December , at 6pm. At each BOT meeting - twice a term - policies are reviewed.
