St Michael's is a vibrant community minded school that is nestled at the foot of our great Maunga (mountain) "Ngongotaha" which serves as a reminder for our staff, children and community to set lofty goals as we strive for excellence while “doing ordinary things, extraordinarily well”
We are a proud Catholic primary school catering for boys and girls of Years 1-6. We have a beautiful school site that affords our children space to explore and learn through play. Our school is well resourced with a large hall, community gardens, rugby grounds, netball courts and playground. Our innovative classroom designs promote the development of effective relationships between staff and students.
Our experienced staff utilise their strengths in learning design to provide engaging and enriching learning experiences where your child’s educational pathway is tailored to suit their individual needs and interests. We understand and value that one size does not fit all in education and we honour this belief through the delivery of a responsive curriculum. It is our endeavour to ensure that you are a valued and included partner while your child is at St Michael’s School.
We are passionate about offering our children a wide range of academic, sporting, cultural and service opportunities while at school, as well as a number of education outside of the classroom activities as part of our well-balanced responsive curriculum. This includes students having opportunities to perform in our Kapahaka Group, engage in experiences that challenges their problem solving skills through E-Pro 8 and STEM activities and encourage a life-long love of learning.
